Hypnosis is a powerful tool for transforming a smoker into a non-smoker.

When someone is trying to quit without outside help they typically just try and avoid the nicotine or use nicotine replacement products. In order to make this an easier transition I suggest creating some new healthy habits such as walking and/or starting a new hobby or creative project. When we allow our creativity to occupy us, it takes our minds off our old habit. Exercise does the same thing but with an added physical fitness benefit.
